January – it is nearly over!

Haven’t done much this month because I’m stressing madly over my first event as Chair of Burgh House Friends’ Committee.  It is far more difficult than I could ever have imagined.

Should any one read this and be interested – it is a celebration of Burns Night – a trifle late, but apparently it is a moveable feast, so it is this Saturday 29th January at 7pm in Burgh House.

There will be music, poetry, the ode to the haggis, and all that this implies, and also a superb Burns Night meal soup, haggis accompanied by the usual neeps and tatties, thenendingwith cranach.  And if any of you sassenachs need a translation,I suggest you book (on line) and come along, when all will be revealed. It’ll be a great night!

All the details about this and about Burgh House, itself are on web.  See http//burghhouse.org.uk.eventsbot.co

Next time I appear here,I will know whether it was a success or a disaster
